B2BUA - Opensips crash on b2b_init_request("top hiding");

Max Mühlbronner
Hello everyone,

I have a problem with opensips 1.6.1-notls, everything else worked fine
but at this point i can not get the b2bua module (topology hiding
scenario) to work.
Lately i have added the b2bua module and while testing Opensips crashes
whenever a request hits b2b_init. I thought it could be an
misconfiguration on my side,
but could not find anything wrong. I tried many things but could not
find any solution, now i see there is also an open bug which describes
the same problem:
Does anyone else have these issues or similar crashes with b2bua, or any
ideas to verify if this could be a valid bug?

- *opensips crashes on reply recieved to b2bua - ID: 2937441

Looking forward to any ideas.

Best Regards

Max M.

Re: B2BUA - Opensips crash on b2b_init_request("top hiding");

Max Mühlbronner
Hi again,

i have made a recompile/ new setup and still receive a segmentation
fault, it was fine for one call and so i thought it was finally working
(looked at the trace on another machine and the contact header was
modified correctly by B2bua) and then on the next Call it crashed again.
I hope the coredump may help in any way.

Program terminated with signal 11, Segmentation fault.

Re: B2BUA - Opensips crash on b2b_init_request("top hiding");

Anca Vamanu-2
Hi Max,

Please update now from svn, branch 1.6. It is a much stable version,
with many fixes. Test and reply if you still see something not working
right.

Regards,

Re: B2BUA - Opensips crash on b2b_init_request("top hiding");

Max Mühlbronner
Hello,

Thanks! Already updated via svn today and it was better / only crashed
on certain combinations, made some tests afterwards: it is working for
me now :)
But i also just updated to the newest revision (6550) , just to be sure.

I am still a bit confused about the whole b2bua module. Does it mean
B2bua only works on 1.6.1svn and not in stable version? Because in my
experience it is not supported on 1.5, and additionally not working on
1.6.0 ? So 1.6.1 from svn is the only version where b2bua Module is
supported correctly?

Thanks very much for your help.

Regards

Max M.

Re: B2BUA - Opensips crash on b2b_init_request("top hiding");

Anca Vamanu-2
Hi Max,

1.6 was the first version where b2b was added. The 1.6 svn branch
contains the of course the newest version of the b2b modules, with the
latest fixes. 1.6.0 and 1.6.1 had some problems that were fixed now on svn.

You still have crashes? You are running only topology hiding right?
Please try to get more information about the crash, gdb backtrace will
be very good.

Regards,

Re: B2BUA - Opensips crash on b2b_init_request("top hiding");

Max Mühlbronner
Hi,

No, Sorry what i meant was: I had some crashes, but on some calls it was
working. (before your svn fix) But now after your fixes it seems like it
is indeed working fine! (first time --> for me with b2bua module!)
Yes, i am just running topology hiding with nothing special. At least
now it seems to be working great, i will report if there are any
coredumps/issues.

Thanks very much, again.

Max M.
