Re: FW: Users Digest, Vol 44, Issue 25

Bogdan-Andrei Iancu-2
Hi,

Maybe the ACKs are not properly forwarded, so the end-points disconnect the call.

Do you have a SIP capture / trace of one call (the SIP signaling) taken from the opensips server ?

Regards,
Bogdan

Re: Users Digest, Vol 44, Issue 25

SamyGo
Hi Talha,

Where are the logs !? where is the sip capture !! can you use sipgrep or tcpdump on your opensips server to trace everything

#tcpdump -i any -s 0 -w talha-traces-sip.pcap -vvvv

save this file and send to me in PM.

Also please explain the topology of your VoIP setup including any routing devices doing NAT.

from your "TCP DUMB" output I could not figure out anything special to help in troubleshooting.

I'm pretty much expecting that your issue is related to NAT where your opensips is not configured properly to handle NAT. See these functions
nat_uac_test(flags) and  fix_nated_sdp in NAThelper module.

Also thirty seconds call drop can be related to no-audio relaying through media-proxy and hence Media-Proxy disconnects the call thinking that the call has no caller/callee talking(audio).

BR,
Sammy

Hi,

Maybe the ACKs are not properly forwarded, so the end-points disconnect the call.

Do you have a SIP capture / trace of one call (the SIP signaling) taken from the opensips server ?

Bogdan

Hi,

To get ngrep to filter the capturing on "300" do :
    ngrep -d any -W byline -t 300 port 5060

upload the output somewhere on pastebin or similar - this mailing list is limited to attachments of 40K.

Regards,
Bogdan

Re: Users Digest, Vol 44, Issue 25

Bogdan-Andrei Iancu-2
Hey, considering that you get free help, culminating with the fact you have almost 0 knowledge in basic stuff (like making a simple network capture), I would not complain AT ALL about taking too long. So please be at least grateful for the help you get.

The problem is your setup - to spare some time, you should mention that you actually run opensips behind NAT and you receive traffic from public internet. OpenSIPS is adding a RR header with a private IP which is not routable from the caller side (public internet), so caller cannot fire the ACK as response to the received 200 OK.

So, your setup is bogus.

Regards,
Bogdan

Hi,

1) please keep the list at CC all the time !

2) the tcpdump output is no enough - use ngrep as I need to see the actual content of the SIP package ; or make a pcap capture and upload it somewhere for download.

Bogdan

Hey, considering that you get free help, culminating with the fact you have almost 0 knowledge in basic stuff (like making a simple network capture), I would not complain AT ALL about taking too long. So please be at least grateful for the help you get.

The problem is your setup - to spare some time, you should mention that you actually run opensips behind NAT and you receive traffic from public internet. OpenSIPS is adding a RR header with a private IP which is not routable from the caller side (public internet), so caller cannot fire the ACK as response to the received 200 OK.

So, your setup is bogus.

Regards,
Bogdan

Hi,

To get ngrep to filter the capturing on "300" do :
    ngrep -d any -W byline -t 300 port 5060

upload the output somewhere on pastebin or similar - this mailing list is limited to attachments of 40K.

Regards,
Bogdan

Hi,

I think that, a first step, in your case would be to use "advertised_address".

Re: Users Digest, Vol 44, Issue 25

SamyGo
Hi Talha,
Just a friendly suggestion if you're very new to this. Instead of making some custom configuration with your own hands try running any sample configuration file which is closer to your voip-setup (in terms of network connectivity). For that I'd again like you to describe your setup. What is it that you're trying to make and how is it setup so far !?

Regards,
Sammy.
