Freeradius issue

ASHWINI NAIDU
hi all,

I have installed opensips-1.5, freeradius-2.0.4dsfg,CDRTool-6.7.5, callcontroller-2.0.3. After the prepaid balance goes to nil the call gets disconnected. but in the CDRTool it displays as the call is still in progress. What i have noticed is the stop time in radacct table is not getting updated.

Can anyone help me out

Hi ASHWINI,

It looks like the dialog timeout BYEs are not passing the proxy (but
directly going from the module to the endusers), so the accounting
module does not send Accounting-Stop packets out.
I have the same issue and solved it by using mediaproxy accounting (this
will detect when the call is disconnected and send updates to the radius
server). However this is not ideal, hope to get the module maintainer's
attention and fix it.

Cheers,
DanB

That is not true. The locally generated BYE messages go through the
local_route route.

There is nothing wrong with any of the modules. You need to indicate in
the local_route that you want to do accounting for those BYE requests by
explicitly calling an appropriate accounting function.

Re: Freeradius issue

Hey Dan,

You are right, I completely missed local_route (the jump from 1.3 caused
that sorry).
I take back that there is any issue with the module :-).

Have a good one!
