SIP message ID

Ali Pey
Hi There,

What does $mi (SIP Message ID) refer to? Where does it come from?

What's the simplest unique ID that can be used in logs to be able to filter all the messages for a particular call?

Thanks,
Ali

It is an incremental index (per process) for each SIP request/reply.

You can filter by CallID and From tag (assuming that you prefix each
log with a $ci $ft).
